Custom Written Songs:How This Works
By filling out the information request form, you will get the process started by giving me the basics.
You have the ability to choose the song style, or genre, for instance:
You can also say “Like Taylor Swift” or “Like the Black Eyed Peas” or “Like Bing Crosby”.
I will then schedule a phone call with you so that we can discuss the song and your information further. You’ll be able to choose a “theme” for the song, such as, “make it a love song” and then tell me the story of when you and your partner met. Or you can give me information on the person who the song is being written for. For instance, the types of music they listen to, a bit about their personality, their hobbies, why you are gifting them with this song.
I will then take your ideas and put them to music. It will be a standard length song, no more than 4 minutes, 30 seconds (that’s the longest the average radio station will play) You can choose the way you would like the song to be presented with the packages listed here.
The entire turn around process is about 1 month. Sometimes it will be a bit shorter, sometimes a bit longer. A lot of it will depend on the amount of information you give me, and how long it takes the song to ‘gel’. You will receive the first draft of the lyrics for your inspection before anything goes to record. Once you approve, or request changes for and then approve, the lyrics, a rough track of the melody will be sent for approval. After that, it is into the studio for recording and mixing.
Your song will be delivered in MP3 format, which is the current accepted format for MP3 players and computers. If you wish a CD version of the song, please view the different packages for availability.
If you have a specific deadline for your song, please make certain that you include that date on your information request form. I will do my utmost to meet your deadline, within reason. A rush order fee can be added for projects that need a faster turnaround time.
