It's been almost a year since I have updated this page. That doesn't mean that things haven't changed, as you can see. A new look for the website, a new outlook on life and a new change of careers. Along with being a musician, I am now a copywriter. Please visit the Copywriting page in the "Words" section to learn more about what I can do to help you and your company thrive and grow.
I am continuing to make music, and I am working on a new experiment for increasing my visibility to fans not in the Twin Cities area. Stay tuned for more on this.
For those of you in the Twin Cities, in October I will be performing at Sample Night Live in St. Paul. This is "art in trial size" as the website states. Several different performers showcase their talents in bite size portions. Come on out. I'll be on stage that night with Theater of Fools and The Dregs so it will be Renaissance Festival Old Home Week.
New music is happening, I am getting better at using recording equipment and programs, so there will be more to listen to here soon.
Take care and check back often (I promise to update this more!)

Happy Veteran's Day!
Thank you to all the people who have served, or are currently serving as part of our Armed Forces. Thank you for protecting us and for working to preserve the freedoms that we all consider a normal part of life, and therefore usually take for granted. We live in a remarkable country, in a remarkable time (for good or ill) and we need to remember that in many parts of the world, there is no running water or electricity, much less the freedom to speak out against our government, to practice our chosen religion or to live a "normal" modern life. So Thank You Veterans and Veterans to Be. I hope to have a song written for you soon. (It's in progress.)
As you can see, the website is progressing. It's not done, and I would love feedback about what you think. Please feel free to email me at tanyabrody@tanyabrody{dot}com to let me know your opinions, criticizms and wishes.
Also, please check out the new Custom Songs Section. If you've ever wanted to have a song professionally written just for you, here's your chance. I've done this for years for my nearest and dearest, so why not for everyone? Need the perfect sound track for that perfect moment? Here's your chance. Take a look, and again, please let me know what you think.
As the year draws to a close, I look more and more forward to changes and improvements. I hope the same happens for you!

More poetry on the Poetry Page and there is even now a Fiction spot, with a spot of fiction on it!

Slowly but surely, things are moving from "there" to "here" (wherever either of those places are located). I have just put up the new Poetry page, and it even has a poem on it. More to come soon.
Also available are now Not Your Average...Anything from the old site, as well as Passing Time.
I hope to do more work on this site soon, however I am settling myself into a new life as well as a new website. These things take time.

It is time for the old themusesmusic.com site to move over to this one. So please look for all of your favorite old information here, as well as a bunch of new information.

I am creating a new website because it is time. I am once again independent, an independent solo musician and it is Independence Day, therefore I am building myself a website, something I haven't had for myself in about 6-8 years.
I will gradually migrate all of The Muses information over to this site so it is still available in one form or another, but this will be the site that is changed, updated and maintained regularly. I expect that the most updated pages will be the various Blogs I write for (including my own) and music links with new music available. I will also put up new writings as they happen.
I am in the process of writing and recording a new album, all of which will be available on CDBaby.com and on all of the accompanying Digital Distribution sites like iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, etc.
I am sorry for the dissolution of The Muses and the corresponding (and to me, much more important) relationship. I do hope to continue to make music that makes people happy. Please continue to enjoy the music both here, and at www.themusesmusic.com
Much love and joy in music,
Tanya Brody
